The Blind Pig - Athol, MA - 2nd Visit

Paul and I went out to the Blind Pig tonight since the girls went to some Tea Class in Northampton.  Turned out it's Watermelon Week at The Blind Pig.  Not sure why that is, but they had lots of Watermelon themed entrees and drinks.

We had a couple of beers with the Watermelon Salsa.  The salsa was delicious and the tortilla chips were thick and crispy.  I'd score the salsa a 4.

Paul had the Pork and Watermelon sandwich.  It was pretty good, with a great mustard sauce on the side.  We gave it a 3.5.

I had Monte's Pig Melt.  This was a panini style sandwich with Turkey, Bacon, Ham, Swiss and more delicious Mustard.  These guys don't mess around when it comes to big, meaty sandwiches.  I scored this a 4.5.

It was quite crowded for a Thursday, maybe people are there to watch the Patriots preseason game.  The service was still pretty good despite limited staff and a large crowd.  Besides, I can't say anything bad about a waitress/bartender in a Wes Welker jersey.

I'm really starting to like this place and will certainly be back.
