Alaska and Northwest Trip - Days 18-21

We took a semi-break from the trip to visit with some old friends in Bellingham, WA.  We did see some cool things, ate at some great places and took some good photographs (though I'm a little disappointed that my photos didn't seem to capture the beauty we saw as well as in Alaska and Canada.)  We took some time to do laundry, reorganize our luggage and take stock of the finances.

Jupe and Erik showed us around the town, cooked some great food and provided great hospitality.

We saw the coast, some old forest trails along the railroad and ate at some great restaurants.  I hope to write a review for all the restaurants later, but I want to finish the Trip entries first.

One of the highlights was buying seafood at Taylor Shellfish.  Not only did they have great oysters and clams, but this is where they filmed one of the Dirty Jobs episodes.  You know the one where Mike Rowe goes geoduck digging.  We love Dirty Jobs
